We (Filterra Inc.) care about your privacy and are committed to preserving the information collected about you, and safeguarding the confidentiality of any personal details you provide to us. As a User of Filterra (“Our App”), you have the right to know our information privacy practices and clearly understand how, pursuant to this Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”), we collect, store, and use the information you provide us when you use and interact with our app.


By using our app you are accepting the practices set forth in this Privacy Policy and hereby allow Filterra to collect, process and use the data as stated in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, then you must not access or use Filterra. Without your permission and unless we are required by law to do so, we will not otherwise sell, trade, distribute, lease, transfer or share your personal information to third parties.


Pursuant to this Privacy Policy, we may – WITH YOUR EXPLICIT AND PRIOR CONSENT – use the information we collect from you for the following purposes:

  1. provide the features and functionalities of our app;
  2. provide a safe and user-relevant experience on our app;
  3. process your requests and transactions;
  4. provide social sharing & community features;
  5. provide software updates and app support;
  6. personalize the content we deliver to you;
  7. tailor the features and functionalities of our app to you;
  8. communicate with you about our app for both “administrative” and “promotional” purposes;
  9. monitor and analyze trends in connection with usage of our app;
  10. maintain and improve our app’s functionality;
  11. diagnose and fix problems;
  12. provide customer service and assistance;
  13. perform marketing activities, data analysis and research;
  14. perform our internal activities such as troubleshooting and testing;
  15. provide advertising and related activities either independently or in connection with our Partners;

The term “Personal Data” as used in this Privacy Policy refers to information such as your username and email address that can be used to identify you. With your prior permission, we collect your username and email address you provide us when you set up an account for Filterra Community (“Creative Feed”, “Feed”, “Community”, “Filterra Creative Feed”). If you choose to withhold any Personal Data requested by us, it may not be possible for you to gain access to certain functionalities of our app.  We will not sell, share, or otherwise distribute your Personal Data to third parties.

We offer the opportunity, and with your consent, we may verify your Filterra account via your existing Facebook or Google+ profiles. We only use the APIs, OAuth Tokens, Widgets, or other means provided by the applicable Social Media Platform to use the data transmitted from the respective Social Media Platform for your Filterra Community account verification. As such, we only receive the limited information that each Social Media Platform permits to be transferred.

You are solely responsible for complying with Facebook and Google+ terms of service and conditions of use and we are not responsible in any way if you are no longer able to access our app through Facebook or Google+ due to your existing account being suspended, blocked, closed or terminated for any reason whatsoever.


With your explicit and prior access permission, we may send push notifications or alerts to inform you about certain offers, news and tips, even if the app is not currently open or in use. You’re asked to accept (Allow) or refuse (Don’t Allow) push notifications after our app is downloaded. At any time, you can manage your push notification preferences or disable these notifications by turning off the notification settings in the Settings > Notifications of your mobile device. If you do not allow, you will not receive push notifications. We collect push notification tokens in order for us to be able to determine whether you are subscribed to push notifications.


We will not access your Photos or Camera without first requesting access to your Photos or Camera, and getting your explicit permission. If you give us permission to access Photos or your Camera, we will only use images that you specifically choose to share with us. You may use our app to select the photo or photos you choose to share, but we will never import the photos you review except those you explicitly share. At any time, you can manage your Photos and Camera preferences by turning off this feature in the Settings > Privacy > Photos / Camera  of your mobile device.

Photos may be accompanied by additional Content such as a hashtag (e.g., to mark keywords), comments, or may include metadata like a geotag. This makes your User Content more searchable by others and more interactive. If you geotag your photo then your location will be stored with the photo and may be searchable.


We automatically collect certain information about your device, including your device model, its operating system and version, connection type (wifi or mobile), IP address, GPS or other general location information, IDFAs, IDFVs, advertising IDs, and system settings, as well as the language your system uses, the country and time zone of your device.


We share collected non-personally identifiable information with third parties, including analytics providers, tracking providers, third party advertising providers and other third party service providers (collectively referred to as “Partners”). The Information collected from you on our app relating to your use of our app may be used to offer personalized advertising, assess the performance of our app or our advertising (including as part of our analytic practices to improve the content offered through our app), analyze your activity within the app to improve your experience, analyze statistics and trends, but only in aggregated and anonymized manner.

We may share information that can be used to personally identify your device (e.g. persistent identifiers such as IDFA, advertising ID and IP address) for the purposes of delivering our services, displaying appropriate advertisements, conducting analysis and research and for measuring our advertising campaign performance.

The advertising IDs are unique, but non-personalized and non-permanent identification numbers for a specific device, which are provided by the operating systems. The data collected with these IDs are not linked to other device-related information, and this information does not identify you personally.

Our app includes In-App Purchases (IAP). In-app purchases may be made only upon entering the App Store Password and you are responsible for maintaining the security of such password. Be aware of the iOS 15-minute window for making additional purchases / in-app purchases, during which your password may not be required.

To prevent accidental purchases (including those without your knowledge and permission), we suggest you use password protection on your iPhone:

Step 1. Tap “Settings” > “General” > “Restrictions” > “Allowed Content” > “Password Settings”;

Step 2. Under “Purchases and In-App Purchases”, tap the setting “Always Require”.


We take reasonable security measures to protect the information that we obtain from you (including preventing the loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction of your personal information). However, please be aware that unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, hacking, the inherent insecurity of the Internet and other factors, may compromise the security of your personal information at any time. As such, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information, and we will have no liability to you or to any third party arising out of any such loss, misuse or alteration.


A “cookie” is a small bit of record-keeping information that sites often store on a user’s device. Cookies do not include people’s names, email addresses, or other information that is personally identifiable; they are typically used to quickly identify a user’s device and to “remember” things about the user’s visit. We may use cookies or similar technologies when operating our services. For example, we may use them to make the app easier or faster to use; customize the app; collect information for statistical and analytical purposes; verify information; and for information security purposes.


We may update, change or modify this Privacy Policy, at any time and without notice, at our sole discretion. Any such change, update or modification will be effective immediately upon posting. When we post changes to this Privacy Policy, we will revise the “last updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy. Your continued use of our app will signify your acceptance of these changes.
